Beth must be the most drawn model in the whole of Norwich. She has been modelling for years with her retro, flapper style. Tonight I did a few pen sketches and a coupe of pen and watercolours.

Last night was a life drawing session in Norwich again. I was annoyed that I had taken my paints but forgotten to bring my A3 watercolour sketch pad. However, on the drawing side of things I was particularly pleased with my 1 minute quick sketches as I feel that I was feeling it!
One minute poses
Five minute pose
Ten minute study
25 minute study of Beth
40 minute study (started twice)
I was also pleased with being able to capture some of the subtleties of the back view. Though with this pose I had started again ahlf way through as my other attempt was slightly low on the page. In all, another good life drawing session in Norwich.

On Thursday evening I had another life drawing session in Norwich. Again, the model was Ashley. The first few warm-up sketches were ok, and the second 15 minute and 20 minute poses are below. Normally I feel that I improve as the evening goes on. However, this evening things went in reverse and I had a bit of a problem after break with the 40 minute session. I had to restart a number of times and ended up with just a passable sketch. It wasn't the foreshortened angle which got me. I think that I was just tired as I had been out on the streets of Norwich during the day sketching buildings.
