The model last night was Beth. She was a really good model and with the choir noise in the background (the session takes place in the Quaker Hall and the choir practice next door), I quickly got in the zone.
20 minute standing pose
20 minute sitting pose
35 minute sitting
One thing I am really pleased with though is that I received a new lens for my camera today as I have been trying to soilder-on with a poor lens for a while. I am really pleased with the rsults.

I spent the day working on a landscape. The day before I had found; my artistic voice - based upon a dream I had had last week. And the rest seemed plain sailing. On Wenseday I wipped off two pieces of work which had great potential. But then, yesterday I took two steps backwards again.
So it was refreshing that I managed to get to the life-drawing session in Norwich last night and do somthing different. It always puts a great perspective on other things.
Last night our model was Kat.

I wasn't very happy with my life drawing sesion last night as I elt that I had gone backwards a bit. I should have stuck to pure charcoal or contecryons, instead I tried to do a colour sketch with the Caran D'Arche waterssoluble crayons and waterbrush. The brushes don't work that well whilst standing at the easel. I think that the next few sessions I attend in Norwich I will sit whilst sketching.
Pencil 5 minue and pen 10 min sketch
Water soluble sketch
We had a good model - Sonia, who had loads of curves, which made the poses interesting and challenging.

My first time back at the life drawing sessions in Norwich for about 5 months. And the absence told. It took me a long time to warm up and I only produced two reasonable A2 sketches of our model Colin.
sitting 30 minutes - pencil
40 minute charcoal with accents of white chalk on toned paper
